Homecoming is a American 2009 Indie-thriller film,[1] directed by Morgan J. Freeman, written by Katie L. Fetting, Jake Goldberger and Frank Hannah, and starring Mischa Barton, Matt Long, and Jessica Stroup. It was released on New York and Los Angeles on 17 July 2009 and expanded in subsequent weeks.

Mike was the star quarterback in a blue-collar small town where football is everything. After receiving a scholarship to Northwestern University, he returns home over Christmas break and everyone is surprised to see him with a new girlfriend, Elizabeth, a pretty rich girl from Chicago. No one is more shocked than Mike's homecoming queen ex-girlfriend, Shelby, who desperately wants Elizabeth out of the picture. After a freak car accident leaves an injured Elizabeth at the mercy of Shelby, all hell breaks loose as Shelby does everything it takes to get Mike back.

Carriers 2009

The horror starts with a pandemic virus that has already spread world-wide. Two brothers, Brian and Danny, along with Brian's girlfriend Bobby and Danny's friend Kate, are heading to a place where they believe they can wait for the viral pandemic to die out, along with the infected-- namely a place called Turtle Beach, where Brian and Danny used to spend their holidays as children. They come across a van parked in the middle of the road, where a man stops them, looking for fuel for his car. They realise his daughter, who is in the backseat of the van is infected and they refuse to help, attempting to drive around the van which is blocking the road. The man attacks their car, and while trying to evade him, their car is irrevocably damaged. The four teenagers have no choice but to join the father and his infected daughter in order to use their fully functioning van, providing the gas from their own car, making a deal with the man that they will drive him to a school where it is rumoured that a serum has been developed that could help the infected, in order to help the little girl. Upon reaching the school they encounter a doctor with several infected children. The doctor explains the serum only slowed down the virus, prolonging the disease by three days, and that as a result he is planning on euthanizing the children, claiming that "living is sometimes a more painful way of dying". Meanwhile in the car the little girl's breathing becomes compromised and Bobby (who remained with her while the others went into the school) tries to help, taking off the child's mask to help her breathe. The little girl begins to cough, and coughs blood into Bobby's face. Fearing that she may be infected, she doesn't tell the others when they return, still in shock. The little girl asks to go to the bathroom, and her father reluctantly takes her, knowing the teenagers will take his car and leave them behind, but seeing no other choice. Before he walks away he tells Danny that he seems like a good man. The teenagers drive away, knowing they are leaving father and daughter to their deaths.

Soon they come across an hotel and relax, playing golf. Bobby refuses to have any physical contact with Brian, to his bewilderment. Eventually he grabs her and kisses her passionately, to which she pushes him away in terror. Unknown to them, the hotel is already occupied, and when several men in hazmat suits appear, they take the teenagers hostage, and it is implied that they are going to rape Bobby and Kate. They order the girls to strip to see if they are infected, revealing a tell-tale symptomatic rash on Bobby's body, to Brian's horror. In their hysterical fear, Brian, Bobby, Kate and Danny run to the van and drive away, now knowing that Bobby is infected. When they reach a gas station, Kate tells Danny they will end up dead if Bobby comes with them. Danny reluctantly goes to speak to his brother, who simply tells them to get in the car. From there, he forces Bobby out the van. Brian and Bobby argue and Bobby begs him not to leave her behind, telling him she loves him. Feeling there's no other choice, Brian gives Bobby a few tips on how to keep alive longer and he and the rest of the group leave Bobby at the gas station and drive away.

Later the car runs out of gas, and Brian, who has been oddly calm since abandoning his girlfriend at the gas station becomes increasingly more violent. Another car appears, driving towards them, and Brian accelerates aggressively, before blocking their progress along the road. Danny leaves the car and attempts to plead with the two ladies in the car for gas; but they are too frightened to help them. Brian takes out a gun and shoots at them, killing one of the ladies while the other one takes out a gun of her own and shoots him in the leg. He then shoots her. Danny is horrified and furiously demands to know why. Brian then reveals that he feels he has to take care of everything so Danny can have a conscience-free life, such as lying to their parents that they would "be back soon", while intending on escaping. Danny is distressed, realising that Brian had lied, presumably telling him their infected parents were dead, while in fact they had abandoned them while they were still alive. When trying to dress the wound in Brian's leg, Danny discovers that Brian is infected also. Kate convinces Danny they have to leave him behind. Danny takes the keys to the car but realizes that Brian, who is now awake, has the keys. Danny says his goodbyes and kills his brother. Together Danny and Kate reach their destination, Turtle Beach, the place which holds so many memories for Danny. He realises that without his brother, the place that had seemed so special to them as kids is now empty. The film ends, leaving their fate uncertain.

Veronika Decides to Die is a drama film directed by Emily Young and starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jonathan Tucker, Melissa Leo, David Thewlis and Erika Christensen, adapted from the novel of the same name by Paulo Coelho

The setting of the movie is New York instead of the original location of the novel in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Veronika (Sarah Michelle Gellar) wakes up in a mental institution after a failed suicide attempt. She discovers that she has a weakened heart and only days to live. The film follows her recovery as she finds true love and a newfound will to survive.

It was reported that Kate Bosworth was previously attached to the project.

Pandorum 2009

Two astronauts, Bower (Foster) and Payton (Quaid), wake up from suspended animation to find themselves alone, with no memory of who they are, what they are doing, or what has happened to the crew of their 60,000 passenger sleeper ship the Elysium. They are unable to access the ship's bridge, and cannot communicate with any other members of the crew, including the flight team they are to relieve.[5] While exploring the spacecraft under Payton's radio guidance, Bower talks with Payton about Pandorum, a psychological condition brought on by extended periods of hyper-sleep (suspended animation) and its symptoms and effects, including severe paranoia, vivid hallucinations, and homicidal tendencies.

As Bower explores on, he encounters dead bodies, and fast-moving humanoid creatures. Escaping from one of them, he then encounters other human survivors, and they work together to reach the ship's nuclear reactor. The reactor will fail permanently if Bower does not reset it soon. Moving on, the group encounters another survivor, who tells them the story of what had happened before they awakened. Their mission is revealed to be one of desperation. Earth, suffering from massive overpopulation, dispatched the sleeper ship and its crew on a 123-year voyage to a new, Earth-like planet called Tanis to create a settlement. When the ship receives one last message from Earth, informing them that Earth was no more and that they were the last survivors, one of the three crew members (as there are usually three flight crew active at any one shift) turned insane, killed his other two crew mates, then played God by awakening most of the crew and doing what he pleased with them. When he grew bored of it, he went back into suspended animation and left the rest of the crew wakened. Genetic augments that every crew member had received prior to the mission (for quick adaptation to the new planet) had instead adapted them to the ship, turning them into the cannibalistic monsters that Bower and the other survivors have been encountering. This survivor then knocks them out with gas. Upon awakening, they find themselves chained up, with the survivor about to kill them for food.
Meanwhile, Payton discovers another crew member, Gallo, who reveals to him that he was part of the flight crew that received the message from Earth. After receiving the Earth's last message, Gallo gives a different account from what Bower has heard, that the other two crew mates with Gallo had an onset of Pandorum and, eventually, Gallo was forced to kill them in order to survive. By now, most of the ship's population is either dead or mutated.

Bower manages to convince the survivor to allow them to restart the ship reactor. The group fights their way to the ship's reactor, and Bower eventually restarts it. While moving through the passenger hypersleep storage area, he sees the pod for Payton's wife, and his memories now allow him to realize that Payton is not who he says he is. Payton is actually Gallo, and the "Gallo" that the audience has been seeing, is actually just the other part of "Payton's" consciousness, and the man who has been calling himself Payton is in fact the aged Gallo, who was the one to succumb to Pandorum and kill his other two crew mates. Bower then fights with Payton/Gallo while simultaneously battling the symptoms of Pandorum, and during this he inadvertently causes a hull breach. The ship at this point is revealed to have actually been under water for a long time now, having landed on the Earth-like planet of Tanis, their original destination. The ship's log shows the mission has been ongoing for 923 years. Water then starts pouring in, killing Payton/Gallo.

Bower escapes with the last known survivor by ejecting his hypersleep pod from the ship. The hull breach causes the ship's computer to initiate an emergency evacuation, ejecting the remaining 1,211 crew members still hibernating and unmutated onto the new world Tanis, with its beautiful scenery and two moons in its sky, that is to be the new home for humanity--or whatever it's going to mutate into.

Gamer 2009

Gamer is a 2009 science fiction thriller film written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. The film stars Gerard Butler as an unwilling participant in an online game in which participants can control human beings as players. Gamer was released in North America and the United Kingdom on September 16, 2009. The film is rated R for strong violence, sexual content, nudity and language.

In 2034, mind-control technology has taken society by storm. Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall) has revolutionized the gaming industry with his invention of self-replicating nanites. The nanites colonize in the brain, gradually taking over the existing brain cells and allowing full control of all motor functions by a third party. The first off-shoot of this technology was Society, an online community in which gamers pay to control a real person in a pseudo community, much like current simulated worlds such as Second Life. Those who work as characters in Society are paid for their participation, unlike Castle's latest creation, Slayers. A multiplayer, first-person shooter game, Slayers allows gamers to control death row prisoners in mass-scale death matches. Any inmate who lives through 30 matches wins his freedom. Simon, a 17-year old trust fund baby (Logan Lerman), controls Kable (Gerard Butler), the online champion of the game, having won 27 matches and lived through them all. Slayers and Society are hugely popular, making Castle the richest man in America within a matter of weeks. However, Castle's organization is the target of a activist group called Humanz, who claim the nanite technology has a more ominous purpose. When a virus hacks into the video mainstreams broadcasting a message from the elusive rebel group, Simon is offered the chance to communicate with Kable while in-game, which is not allowed. After a stranger gives Kable a warning that the game's mastermind plans to kill him, Kable asks Simon to relinquish control and uses the opportunity to escape.
Kable is taken to the rebels' leader (Ludacris) who explains that the mind control technology used on Kable and the other Slayers can potentially be used without discretion on anyone, leading to the extinction of independent thought. He also gives Kable directions to where he can break his wife out of Society, where she has been working as a character since his incarceration. Kable arrives, and, after a brief shootout with security, manages to escape with his wife. While the rebels attempt to deactivate the cells from his wife's mind that make the mind control possible, Kable is taken into another room. The leader reveals that Kable was once a soldier, working on a future cellular control project. His friend was the first to receive the cell transplant. However, Castle decided to discover the true limits of the mind control and force Kable to kill his friend, leading to his conviction for first-degree murder and subsequent death row sentence.

Some four years later, the game Slayers came out, with Kable as one of the leading stars. Kable is then informed that his daughter has been placed with a foster family...Castle himself. Kable infiltrates Castles' mansion, but is confronted by Castle who is singing and dancing to music, all the while forcing other death row inmates to dance along with him. After a brief fight between Kable and the inmates, Castle leads him into a room with a large basketball court. Castle reveals that he also received the transplant, however, the cellular structure in him allows him to control anyone else who has the cells. This is proven when, having obtained a knife, Kable attempts to kill Castle only to find himself frozen still. Castle then savagely beats Kable and brings in his wife and daughter. Meanwhile, rebel members manage to broadcast their confrontation all over the world.

Kable is forced to crawl to his family, and Castle then attempts to force him to kill his own daughter. After a brief struggle of wills, Kable manages to move the knife away. Simon then returns in control of Kable and, using his controller software that he uses to control Kable in-game, Kable tricks Castle into using his controlling cells to stab himself in the stomach. After Castle dies, Kable requests for Castles' employees, who have been watching, to release the family from their control. They do this, and, with the words "Well played, Kable", depart. The movie then ends with Kable driving through a tunnel in Glacier National Park with his daughter and wife in the car.

Ben 10 Alien Swarm 2009

The film opens as Ben (Ryan Kelley), Gwen (Galadriel Stineman), and Kevin (Nathan Keyes) are negotiating with a group of black market dealers, who are attempting to sell them alien nanotechnology. One of them reveals herself to be Elena (Alyssa Diaz), a childhood friend of Ben and Gwen and a fellow Plumber's kid. Elena explains that she had set up the negotiations to lure Ben out into the open, and explains that her father has been abducted and that she needs their help to find him.

Just as Ben agrees to help her, the chips suddenly spring to life, controlled by a mysterious man hiding in the rafters. Kevin immediately labels it a double cross, though Elena insists that she is not responsible. While the dealers escape, Ben transforms into Big Chill (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) and drives off the intruder. Elena escapes in the confusion, further justifying Kevin's suspicions. Ben, however, is not as easily convinced.

Arriving at their headquarters underneath the Bellwood auto repair shop, the trio, along with Max (Barry Corbin), study the chips, learning that they are a hybrid of organic and technological components. Elena, having followed the trio, breaks in; Max orders her to leave, explaining that Elena's father, Victor Validus (Herbert Siguenza), was an apprentice of his who was dishonorably discharged after stealing the original chips. Ben refuses to believe that Elena is like her father, and breaks ranks to help her.

While Max is away, Gwen and Kevin hack into the computer files relating to Victor Validus and discover a video of Max interrogating Victor, in which Victor insists that "the Hive", the hive mind intelligence behind the chips, is coming to take over the planet. Realizing that Max's anger towards Victor's betrayal may be clouding his judgment, Gwen and Kevin decide to aid Ben as well.
Meanwhile, Ben and Elena arrive at Victor's old laboratory. It has been cleared out by the Hive, but they have left Ship-It order slips behind. Other leftover files in the office indicate that Victor was studying and upgrading the chips, and a picture indicates that Elena is close to the person controlling them. A group of people under the control of the chips attack Ben and Elena, forcing them to retreat. They head to the Ship-It building to investigate further.

Gwen and Kevin, having reached the building first, are too late to stop the distribution of the chips. Instead, they are met by one of the Ship-It employees, who is similarly possessed by the chips. He directs a chip swarm to attack Gwen and Kevin, which eventually wreck Kevin's car after a lengthy chase. Ben, having overheard the commotion and followed them, uses Humongousaur (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) to defeat the swarm, completely demolishing Kevin's car in the process.
By the time they return to headquarters, the chips have been spread across the globe, and now number in the millions. The group deduces that there must be a queen (voiced by Vicki Lewis) controlling the Hive, and by destroying her they will likely destroy the chips as well. During their search for the queen, however, one of the chips takes over Max. Pulling together, the group notices an anomaly in the chip distribution; while world population centers are all infected, the relatively remote Barren Rock, Missouri, has the highest concentration. The town is home to the central headquarters of Ship-It. With Kevin's car out of commission, Kevin reveals that he has built a second car for Ben as a late birthday present.

Infiltrating the factory, the group discovers that the queen has infected Elena's father, whose body is being used to mass produce the chips. Ben uses the Omnitrix to transform into a new alien that he dubs "Nanomech" (voiced by Alex Winter) which was created by scanning the DNA of the chips over the course of the film. He enters Victor's brain and battles the queen while Gwen, Kevin, and Elena fight the drones. After a grueling battle, Ben destroys the queen and thus the entirety of the chips, freeing everybody from their control.

In the aftermath, Max, after personally apologizing to Victor, decides to retire and leave his position as leader to Ben, but Ben refuses to allow him to do so. The film ends as Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and Elena drive home.

American Pie Presents: The Book of Love (sometimes known as American Pie and the Book of Love) is the seventh installment in the American Pie franchise, and the fourth in the American Pie Presents: franchise, starring Louisa Lytton, John Patrick Jordan, Kevin M. Horton and Brandon Hardesty and directed by John Putch. It has been reported that this particular sequel will return to the original feel of the first three films. Several sources, including writer David H. Steinberg and actors Brandon Hardesty and Eugene Levy have praised the film. It was released in Italy on December 2nd, 2009, and will be released on December 22nd, 2009 in US.

Ten years after the first American Pie movie, three new hapless virgins Rob, Nathan and Lube discover the bible hidden in the school library at East Great Falls High. Unfortunately for them, the book is ruined, by Rob himself when he accidentally sets fire to the shelf in the library. The book had incomplete advice, the Bible leads them on a hilarious journey to lose their virginity. Thereafter they pledge to restore the book, they find the name of the creator of the book Mr. Levenstein (Jim's father, adviser to all the hapless, creator of the Naked (DESNUDO) Mile, etc) and start the restoration.

Ninja Assassin 2009

Raizo (Rain) is one of the world's deadliest assassins, having been orphaned as a child and raised by the Ozunu Clan, believed by the world to be a myth. When the love of his life is executed by the Clan for betrayal, Raizo begins to harbor resentment towards the Clan. When his first official mission is completed, he is told to execute one of his fellow members for the same reason his lover died. He rebels against them, nearly dying in the process, and goes into hiding, seeking revenge on his former Clan. Meanwhile, Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) is a Europol agent who investigates money linked to political murders and finds that it is linked to the Ozunu Clan. She defies her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), and retrieves secret agency files to find out more. The clan, finding out about the investigation, attempts to assassinate her, but she is rescued by Raizo. Hiding in Berlin, Raizo and Mika must find a way to take down the Ozunu Clan permanently.
